Baby Evie

Back in April, I photographed a family session for my friends, the Brosas. When I saw them over the weekend, I didn't want to miss an opportunity to capture baby Evie's latest development! With more teeth and more hair, she's darling as ever!

Baby Evie and Baby Gavin are cousins who are just months apart, and they are so precious when they're together :)

Gerber Baby: Little Gavin

Some of you may remember the newborn session I did for baby Gavin back in February when he was only 3 weeks old. Fast forward 5 months later and he's cute as ever, only this time he's got more baby fat and a total chubsterrr! Baby Gavin totally reminds me of the famous Gerber baby, and here's a picture to prove it!

Go Green! Go Nature!

Most photographers alike love different textures and colors. I'm not an exception! I'm definately a portrait photographer, meaning that I mainly like to photograph people, their emotions, and the moment. But sometimes, it's nice to have a change of focus and to capture something different. Here are some pictures of textures and colors of nature through my vision, and my lens....hope you like them!

3 Little Rascals

If you've been following my blog recently, I met some pretty unforgettable kids from Stephanie's baby shower. Stella is the proud mom of 3 precious and delightful children: Rasberry, 4, Charlotte, 2, and 3 month old baby Elvis! Their names are equally as unique as their vivacious personalities! How could I not resist taking some individual pictures of each of them? The best part is that they're 1/2 Chinese + 1/2 Caucasian = stunning and beautiful! Here's another mini-session of three charming sibblings...

Rasberry, the oldest of the 3 kids was extremely shy at the beginning, but she quickly warmed up to me as the crowd got smaller and when I started tickling her! She's definately sweet and affectionate once she is comfortable :)

At just 2 years old, Charlotte sang the entire song of "God Bless America" in front of 10 strangers! When she took her bow at the end of the song, she just melted my heart! What a brave girl she was :)

Last, but not least, is baby Elvis at 3 months of age! This little chubster was almost the same size as 8 month old Maddox from my previous post!!

I just want to bite into his chubby arms!

He can't get much cuter than this....or maybe he can :)

Baby Maddox

I met Maddox at Stephanie's baby shower over the weekend. In short, Maddox is an adorable 8 month old who's begging for his cheeks to be pinched! Although there were little words to be exchanged with this little youngster, he kept giving everyone smiles all day! Enjoy the mini session of baby Maddox -- OOps we forgot to take off his bib!

I'm so infactuated with baby toes and feet!

Stephanie's Baby Shower

My friend Stephanie had her baby shower yesterday, hosted by her two good high school friends Cheresa and Anne. We had a yellow party theme for Steph because she doesn't know the sex of her baby. It was nice to see some of Stephanie's friends that I had met before and to meet new ones! Congratulations, we'll need to take your maternity photos soon before you pop!

Long time friends: (Left to Right) Cheresa, Stephanie, Anne.
Thanks for hosting a successful baby shower!

Here's Stephanie and I with the diaper cake that I made as her gift

Nancy and baby Maddox (I'll be blogging more pictures of Maddox in a future post)

I can't believe Stephanie's friend, Stella, has 3 beautiful children and she doesn't look like she's ever been pregnant before! What a great figure she has!

It took a little while before these two sweethearts warmed up, they are fun loving and simply adorable!

Ken is the only guy I know that gets invited to baby showers!

Let the games begin!

Trying to guess the size of Stephanie's belly..

Looking Back: China Part II

Though I'm Chinese, I speak fluent cantonese, was raised and taught many Chinese traditions, I'm still very Canadian. In Canada, I'm referred to as CBC (Chinese born Canadian). During my last trip to China in December 2006, there were quite a few unusual and funny things that I saw and wasn't used to. Many of the photos that I captured have been quite entertaining and interesting to me, and I want to share a few of my travel experiences with you!

At our first stop at the beach in Hainan, China, Randy was harassed by a local who was trying to sell him cheap sunglasses. I remember standing back and laughing at my husband's reaction while this was happening!

I just snapped this picture because it reminded me of the Tuk Tuks that we rode on during another past trip to Thailand

In terrible English, the sign is supposed to read Entrance: Be Careful of the Road I thought this was quite amusing at the time :)

In America when couples are dressed in similar outfits in matching color and style, it's usually quite pleasing to the eye. But not when they're dressed EXACTLY alike in tacky Hawaiin prints! We couldn't stop laughing when we kept seeing numerous couples and tourists dressing in those faux pas outfits!!

I just like how the sign behind the man reads, No Smoking. There's no excuse, it's also in Chinese characters...maybe the sign just needed to be larger :)

This picture was taken while we were riding on a tour bus, I'm not quite sure who the patrol officers were trying to stop but they looked quite serious!

In America, you will probably NEVER see this. I wonder where they were going and why they were dressed like that.

I will leave you with a picture of Randy and I on the most beautiful part of China that we went to! TGIF!!
