Day in the Park

I've been on a newborn 'high' with Emi the last month, and the last several blog posts are basically all about her and I've neglected to share photos of her older brother Tyler :( So last weekend on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, we took Tyler to a park nearby our place so I could take a few updated photos of him at 26 months :) He's getting so big and talking so much now, I just want to freeze time so he could stay cute and innocent forever!!

Beware! I'll be updating my blog with lots of photos of Emi and Tyler in the next few months because I won't be doing many photo sessions while taking care of a newborn!

Tyler's 2nd Birthday

The past week and a half has been a bit of a whirlwind for me....3 days after we celebrated Tyler's 2nd birthday party I was told to go on bedrest. This came as a big surprise to me since my pregnancy with Tyler was so easy! So the last week, I've been laying low and my awesome husband has been taking good care of me and the household :) I have so much to be thankful for!

Anyway, here are some pictures from Tyler's birthday held at The Little Gym. The staff made the whole planning process totally stress-free for me, and that's exactly what I needed! I want to thank my friend Simon who came along to help take some very memorable photos so I could enjoy the day with my little man Tyler! The watermarked photos are the ones that I snapped, and the rest were captured by Simon from Blissfulpixel :) Enjoy!

I simply ADORE this photo with Tyler and his best friend Katelyn. It's so cute to see him make meaningful relationships :)

Another BIG THANKS to my friend Esther for putting together the Thomas the Train cake, it was a HUGE HIT!!!

Tyler Turns TWO!

Two years ago, my husband and I were blessed with our beautiful son Tyler :) He has given us so much love and happiness that we never knew we could have. Today we'll be celebrating his 2nd birthday at The Little Gym with all this little friends! Stay tuned for his party pictures :)

Bath Time Fun

Need a fun activity with your toddler? The other day I purchased some Crayola non-toxic paint so Tyler could have some fun in the bath. The best part is that everything washed off so easily and he could make the biggest mess without me saying, "NO TYLER!" the whole time :) He was so preoccupied he barely even noticed that he got a haircut while painting away :)

A while back we gave Tyler and Kaitlyn a bath together :) So adorable!

Winter Fun in Tahoe

Tyler saw snow for the first time on a recent trip to Tahoe :) Needless to say, he tried putting some in his mouth to see what this white fluffy stuff was all about!

Family Portraits

These 8x10 prints were professionally taken back in December while we were on our Mexico Cruise aboard Holland America. We haven't had the opportunity to put them up yet, so they're sitting nicely in a tin metal box :) I just scanned them yesterday so I could post them online and share it with you all. Also, happy first day of March! Just 8 more days until my birthday *tear*

Thomas the Train Set

Thank you Auntie Emmers and Uncle Leon for Tyler's train set! It's funny how boys are totally drawn to boyish things like cars and trains. I remember when I was young, the last thing I would care to watch on TV was Transformers because it wasn't a girly cartoon like Jem or My Little Pony :) Anyway, Tyler LOVES his new trains!









Tyler's first haircut at 19 months :) There was barely anything to cut since his hair is so fine and thin, but his grandma wanted us to give him a trim before Chinese New Year. So we trimmed a bit of hair that started growing over his ears and a bit in the back :)

Impossible

When I'm photographing other people's children, most of the time they're really cooperative. When I try to have photos done of my own family, Tyler is like a fugitive trying to break free from mommy and daddy's arms. You would think he's so used to my camera that he'd know to stop and smile when the lens is pointed towards him. But nooooo, it's quite the contrary. Tyler makes it nearly impossible for a good family portrait, and here's proof of it!

I only get good shots of Ty Ty when he's least suspecting..


Yup, this is how it is whenever we take family pictures.....Tyler has his own agenda and he never wants to cooperate with us...EVER!
