Meet Cambodian princess Calianne!

My apartment went through a tornado after this baby session was done! Toys and baby clothes were everywhere, furniture was moved in different places, my lamp fell over and shattered the light bulb, and worst of all...the hot shoe of my 430EX broke when my 5D fell off the chair! But in the end, I am very satisfied with the baby pictures that I took for my coworker and would do it all over again!

If you've been following my posts since I've been blogging, some of you may remember the engagement session that I shot last October with my good friends Robyn and Jon. The past weekend, we went on a 'couples' trip to Las Vegas and stayed at the beautiful J.W. Marriot Resort, where they will be pronounced husband and wife in 8 more months! Colors + Textures = Vibrant + Fun!

I had a fun and relaxing weekend in Vegas! The first thing we heard when we arrived on Friday morning was how the Monte Carlo hotel was up in flames! Luckily, no one was injured or hurt, and the fire was put out by the time we got to the strip. Here are a few pictures that I took at The Mirage hotel, I love their new renovations and the vibrant colors and textures!

Marble Impressions Inc. - Innovative Stone Concepts

The past weekend, we set up a booth for our marble and granite business at the Cow Palace Home Show. The show ran from January 18-20th, and it kept us busy on our feet ALL day! The turnout was great, and we received a lot of interested customers! Here are a few pictures of our 10x10 space, and some sample products that we make!

Man's Best Friend = Ken + Caillou

Yesterday was a tiring day photographing Ken's pal, "Caillou". In the end, I think Caillou was more exhausted than us because we kept making him run back and forth so I could get the shots that I wanted :) It was an awesome day to go to Chrissy Fields for the dog shoot :) Taking pictures of pets isn't as easy as it looks, it takes a lot of patience because you can't get the pet to sit still and make them do things on demand, unlike human subjects! But I have to say, Caillou goes to doggy day camp and it's well worth it because he can play dead when he hears "bang! bang!" Now, enjoy the incredibly cute photos!

Yesterday I did my first maternity session for my coworker Lisa, who's 34 weeks pregnant and looks absolutely stunning! Lisa's pregnancy weight is ALL BABY! She looks further along than one would expect because she's got a healthy sized belly! Lisa was a lot of fun to work with, mainly because she was so willing to do anything I asked of her! Kudos for Lisa who was pretty much nude during the 3 hours of shooting and she never even complained about being cold! Here are my favorite shots of the session, enjoy!

Scenic Drive to Tahoe

On our way to Tahoe/Reno the last weekend, I captured some nice scenic candids from our drive. The road conditions were easy, and thankfully it was the weekend before the storm had hit hard! Enjoy :)

Joe + Giovanna = SPONTANEOUS!

Joe, the bestman from our wedding, and his girlfriend Giovanna came to celebrate year 2008 with us in Reno! The two of them, and five other friends flew down from Vancouver at the VERY last minute to party for New Year's Eve--how spontaneous was that!? We enjoyed every minute of their company, and hope to see them again very soon :) Gi is the ultimate sweetheart, and Joe is a very lucky man to have her! Thanks for spending the week with us in Frisco even with the storm...we already miss you! Without further delay, here are some pictures of Butlau and LauLau (But-G) from our trip to The Palace of Fine Arts!

End of 2007, Happy 2008!

2007 has been a huge year of good changes! To name a few, my fiance at the time moved to San Francisco in February, we started a marble and granite manufacturing business called 'Marble Impressions Inc.' in April, we had our wedding in Vancouver BC in September, moved into a 2 bedroom apartment in December, and shared many good memories with our family and friends along the journey :) And of course, I slowly launched myself into my photography business! Looking back, my husband and I definately accomplished A LOT this year, and I'm SO excited for all the good things to happen for 2008!

I just wanted to mention that I had a very memorable NYE celebration with our good friends from Vancouver and SF, who came and met us in Reno/Tahoe for a wicked weekend of fun! You know who u are!
