Hiking Mt. Tamalpais

Yesterday, my good friend Robyn had the most brilliant idea to go hiking because it was a gorgeous day in San Francisco. I was actually quite reluctant to go when she suggested it because I'm not a big fan of physical activity! But I'm glad I got off my jiggly butt and decided to do something good for once! Here are a few pictures of our hiking trail at Mt. Tam in Mill Valley with Robyn, Erica and I :)

A greeting from a small friend, and we saw quite a lot of them!

Baby Pigeons First Debut!

Do you remember I made a blog post a few weeks ago when I found 2 pigeon eggs outside my kitchen window? Well, it's been exactly 2 weeks and this is what I saw this morning! I'm not exactly sure when they hatched, but the baby pigeons already look like they grew a lot! I've been eyeing them everday, and all I usually see is the momma pigeon nesting in the same corner. So this whole time I'm thinking the eggs haven't hatched yet! But here's their first debut!

Happy Belated Birthday :)

Family Session: The Brosas

Yesterday I photographed my friends, the fabulous Brosas family! We started off the morning with some pictures of baby Genevieve in different outfit changes to figure out which was the best one for our outdoor photo shoot! This session lasted a bit longer than usual, because I was really just hanging out and having a good time with my friends Michelle and Donovan, and of course little Evie :)

Enjoy the photos!

Evie has mastered the skill to roll and look how she loves it!

Back home for Evie's bath time :)

All clean and ready to play some more!

It's so adorable that baby Evie has her daddy wrapped around her tiny little finger :)

Evie is definately daddy's little girl :)

And of course mommy's favorite too!

One big happy...

...family!

Fine Art Canvas Gallery Wrap

I have something very exciting to show my blog readers and (potential) clients! The gallery wrap that I ordered has finally arrived! If you're tired of the traditional wall mounted picture frames like me, then a fine art gallery wrap is something you'll love! Various sizes start from 8x8 to 30x40, and the best thing about them is that they're ready to hang when you receive them and they look so modern :)

The edges are nicely wrapped around the sides, and the canvas has a laminate top to keep it beautiful for years to come! I think this makes a great gift for anyone, and if my clients are interested in ordering one please email me for more information! I'll be bringing these out to my client meetings so you can all see how nice they are :)

Spring is in the Air

Have you ever seen a pigeon lay eggs? Don't worry, most people haven't. It's just something you don't get to see too often. The other day as I was washing dishes, I heard a lot of "cooe cooe" outside my kitchen window. I know I've heard pigeon activity in the past, but I never bothered to look outside---until yesterday. FYI, outside my kitchen window is a small open area between two apartments side by side. The pigeons are hiding underneath the steps of an untouched fire escape route. When I looked outside, I was so surprised and excited to see a momma and poppa pigeon!--how very cute and sweet :) And on top of that, momma pigeon was sitting on top of an egg! Spring is definately in the air! (NB: people do not eat pigeon, and if you think you've tasted one before, it's most likely a quail!)

Momma pigeon is "Nesting" -- FYI: this is also a typical human behavior seen in a pregnant mom just before they deliver their baby when they are known to clean up the house for the baby's arrival :)

I was so excited to see not one egg, but two!

Back to her babies

I will keep you updated on the birth of these two new pigeonettes! (is that even a word!? Y'all know what i mean!) You can bet that I'll be keeping a close eye on them in the next few days or weeks for their arrival!

Studio Session: KAM family

My parent's 3 week trip to visit us in San Francisco is coming to an end :( They'll be leaving to Vancouver early tomorrow morning, then they're taking another trip 3 days later to China and will be gone for a month! We always joke around that my parents have a better social life than Randy and I, but I think it's totally true! During the 3 weeks of their stay, we had the total luxory of my parents cooking for us each day and we have appreciated it so much :) I'll miss them tremendously once they leave and I know it will be more quiet and lonely...but Randy and I will be taking a trip to Vancouver during mid-May for one week and then we'll get to see all my family and friends again!

My aunt (dad's sister) from LA also came to visit and spent a week with us :) Yesterday, we took some formal family photos at my home studio. Notice how I created a new signature!

The two that brought me into the world :)

Looks like an "Employee of the Month" picture! haha

My aunt! Dad's younger sister :)
