Wedding: Leilani + Stephen = Faithful

Leilani is a special friend of mine since we met in nursing school back in 2001, and when her and Stephen had initially asked me to photograph their wedding last year, I was honored! I'm so glad baby Tyler has been so well behaved during this pregnancy that I was able to fly back to Vancouver and capture such a significant milestone in their lives! Leilani and Stephen is a testament of true love and faith for each other and for God. They are two of the same people who share very similar values, beliefs and virtues---most importantly, they care and love deeply for each other and they really couldn't be a better match! I wish you both nothing but happiness and a lifelong marriage with LOTS of babies! Thank you again for trusting me to photograph your beautiful wedding and for allowing Randy and I to be apart of your special day <3

After 1.5 hour drive through gridlock traffic, we arrived at the beautiful Westwood Plateau for the bridal party photos and the elegant reception

Happy Mother's Day!

To my beloved mother whom I'm so grateful for, thank you for your love and devotion. I know you are reading this! For all those times when I misbehaved or didn't listen, you always said to me "wait until you have children of your own, then you'll know how it is to be a parent".....Well, that day is just around the corner and soon I will be a parent myself and that is when I will truly understand all those times when you would worry about me! From a family and generation where "I love you" is not often spoken or heard, I want you to know that I am truly blessed to have you and dad in my life, and I love you both very much.

Richmond Olympic Oval

About a 5 minute drive from my parent's house, stands the newly built Richmond Olympic Oval where speed skating will be held during the Vancouver Winter Olympics in 2010! Too bad it was closed to the public when we went, but I did manage to snap a couple exterior photos to show off this newly constructed building. It's so exciting to know that the 2010 Winter Olympics will be held in my hometown!

Janzen's Wedding Teaser

Randy and I came back from Vancouver a couple days ago, and we photographed a beautiful wedding for our friends Leilani & Stephen. Before I'm able to blog a complete wedding post for them, here is a teaser for you to enjoy!

OFF to Vancouver!

In just a few more hours we'll be flying into Seattle, then renting a car to drive up to Vancouver for 6 days :) I can't wait to photograph Lani's wedding on May 1st! I'll also need to renew my TN Visa on my way back to SF, which will be good for 3 years instead of renewing it annually! This will be Baby Tyler's fourth airplane ride, and the last before he's due at the end of June! So far, he's travelled to Italy, Maui and now twice to Vancouver!

Wish us a safe flight and I'll blog more when I get back next week :)

Parasol in the Park

I want to thank my dear hubby for helping me take some fun prego pictures over the weekend when it was SUPER blazing hot! We went over to Chrissy Fields to enjoy some nice sunshine :) I'm excited to have another 6 weeks of work before I'm off on maternity leave! YAY!!

Intimate Boudoir Collection with Nancy

Boudoir sessions are increasingly popular, and they're so fun! My best friend Nancy from Vancouver came to visit for the weekend, and we went to the Britney Spears concert in Sacramento on Saturday. It was a great performance, and we were surrounded by some pretty hardcore teeny-bopper-Britney fans! Back to the sexy boudoir shoot, Nancy and I decided to have some fun and here some of her pictures that she's allowed me to post! 3 Weeks Young: Baby Alexander

Sweet and adorable baby Alexander was born on March 21, 2009. With an infectious smile and cute pouty lips, Alexander was very well behaved on his first photo session! I'm so glad I had the opportunity to meet him for the first time, and I can't wait to take more photos of him as he gets bigger!

Lorena is one of the sweetest girls I know, and I was more than happy when she asked me to photograph some sexy boudoir photos as a wedding gift to her fiance Colter. Special thanks goes to Lorena's friend, Jessica for allowing us to use the beautiful furniture and decor at her apartment in Larkspur! Wedding: Erica + Otto = Promise

Back in February, Randy and I travelled to Maui to photograph our friend's wedding, which took place at a private beach house in Wailea. It was a small and intimate ceremony with their closest family and friends. While it was a nice getaway trip for all of us, we were honored to witness and document the love shared between Erica and Otto. I finally received their permission to blog their long awaited photos---Congratulations again! Mahalo :)
