Tyler's 2nd Birthday

The past week and a half has been a bit of a whirlwind for me....3 days after we celebrated Tyler's 2nd birthday party I was told to go on bedrest. This came as a big surprise to me since my pregnancy with Tyler was so easy! So the last week, I've been laying low and my awesome husband has been taking good care of me and the household :) I have so much to be thankful for!

Anyway, here are some pictures from Tyler's birthday held at The Little Gym. The staff made the whole planning process totally stress-free for me, and that's exactly what I needed! I want to thank my friend Simon who came along to help take some very memorable photos so I could enjoy the day with my little man Tyler! The watermarked photos are the ones that I snapped, and the rest were captured by Simon from Blissfulpixel :) Enjoy!

Tyler Turns TWO!

Two years ago, my husband and I were blessed with our beautiful son Tyler :) He has given us so much love and happiness that we never knew we could have. Today we'll be celebrating his 2nd birthday at The Little Gym with all this little friends! Stay tuned for his party pictures :)

Newborn Session with Baby Bauer

Baby Bauer is a special baby that I helped deliver on April 28th, 2011. Half the battle during our photo session was to get Bauer to stay asleep so we could get those dreamy newborn photos :) We spent about 3 hours and he wanted to stay awake during most of that time while we were trying to pose him during the rare moments of R.E.M. sleep! Congratulations Simon and May, here are a few of my favorites!

Mexico Wedding: Benson + Katrina

Randy and I have known Katrina for half our lives and she's always been that true friend that will always stick by us through thick and thin :) We've been anticipating Benson and Kat's wedding for as long as they started dating which was about 7 years ago :) And finally on April 20, 2011 we witnessed their dream wedding as they said their emotional vows on a beautiful beachside ceremony in Mexico with all their close friends. Congratulations again Benson and Katrina! You two are destined to be together and we're extremely happy for you!

Mexico E-session with Nancy + Leon

I'm so glad I had the opportunity to catch up with my best friend Nancy and Leon while vacationing in Mexico! These two are seriously meant for each other, they are so alike in many ways and their relationship just seems to fit so perfectly. I really couldn't be happier that they're both taking the next step in marriage together. LOVE YOU BOTH!!!!

Mexico Family Session with the Estebans

This is somewhat a continuation of my previous blog post, except they're family photos that I took of Makki, Grace and their adorable daughter Kayla :) It was a short but fun session because we only had one hour of gorgeous lighting before the sunset and the chance to help each other take photos with fussy kids (more so Tyler than Kayla). I'm so glad we were finally able to hang out because Makki and Grace live in Vancouver and we've never had the opportunity on all our past visits. Hopefully that will change now that Tyler and Kayla are so fond of each other :)

Our family Portraits

On our trip to Mexico, we met up with our long time friends Makki and Grace who has a daughter, Kayla that's just a few months younger than Tyler. It was an instant bond between the pair since they were the only other family with a child. One evening we decided to help each other take some family photos around the resort and here are a few that they got for us using my 5D.
