Yesterday I received a very sweet email from my previous bride and groom, who had their wedding on 6.7.08. Her sweet words just melted my heart and I felt like sharing it with my blog readers! Also, I just found out that they're expecting a new addition to their family early next year! CONGRATULATIONS! The two of you will make perfect parents! I can't wait to take your newborn photos :)

WPPI 2009

Who's planning to attend WPPI 2009 in Las Vegas?? For the non-photographers reading my blog, WPPI stands for Wedding & Portait Photographers International. Each year, they host a huge convention and trade show where photographers from all around the world gather to network and learn from one another. I missed my chance to go this year, and I'm really hoping I can go this time around! There will be so much to see, people to meet, and most importantly --- things to learn! I already have my list of photographers that I want to meet :) I'm such a dork!

Newborn Session: Baby Jared

I finally got to meet sweet baby Jared, and his parents Angie and Joel. Angie found me on google, and we exchanged emails for a few months trying to coordinate a time to do her maternity photos, but that didn't end up happening so we decided to do a newborn session instead. At 24 days young, we were finally able to meet for Jared's first photo session! They wanted some formal pictures done, so they came over to my home studio :)

If you're interested in doing a newborn session, I would recommend having the pictures done before your baby is 3 weeks old! You'll be amazed at how fast they grow :)

Robyn + Jon's Wedding = Patience

Yesterday night, we came back from an awesome weekend at Vegas to attend Robyn and Jon's spectacular wedding. These two have been together for 9 solid years, and they finally said their vows in front of all their family and friends at the grand JW Marriott resort on September 27th. Robyn spent a long time planning for her destination wedding, 17 months to be exact. She did a fantastic job on all the little details and the overall organization. This girl can definately be the next wedding event coordinator!

I had the honor to be one of Robyn's bridesmaid, which meant that I had other duties besides taking pictures :) But here are a few that I took behind the scenes. Suzy Min and Mike Fulton from Tricoast Photography were the professional photographers of the day! I was soooooooooo ecstatic to finally meet the two of them in person, and they were so nice and down to earth!

Wedding Album Spreads

I'm getting more inquiries from prospective clients who are interested in professionally bound wedding albums. There's nothing more exciting than to hold the actual product in your hands so you can examine the quality and beautiful craftsmanship. There are literally thousands of companies that specialize in wedding albums. But I want to choose the right company who can create the particular style that I want to offer my own clients, which is simple, classic, and elegant. I'll announce the company when I finally receive my order, which is hopefully in another 2 weeks. I'm so excited!

Viva Las Vegas!

This morning, Randy and I are leaving to Sin City on Virgin America! I've never flown with them before, but I've heard only good things about them so far! This Saturday, our good friends Robyn and Jon are getting married at the upscale JW Marriott Resort in Las Vegas :) I'm going to try and take as many pictures as I can, but it will be somewhat difficult since I'm one of Robyn's bridesmaids! Don't worry though, Randy is my assistant/2nd photographer at the weddings I'm hired to do, so you can have the chance to see his own raw talent in photography (as a guest)! LOL

I'll be gone from September 25-28, so I'll have limited Internet use. But I will have a blog scheduled to post while I'm gone! Just be patient though if you email me :) Thanks and have a wonderful week! There will be lots to post when I get back!!

Spicy Miso Noodle Soup

Two good things happened to me tonight! First, instead of going into work I received a phonecall telling me that I'm on call :) We have this thing called "wishlist" where you sign up when you want to get cancelled from work when there are more nurses than patients. Being on call is exactly that, I didn't get cancelled, but I'm on standby at home for the regular 8 hours that I'm supposed to work.

The Second good thing is that my husband made a yummy spicy miso noodle soup! I'm lucky that he cooks for me all the time anyway, but tonight's dinner looked yummy enough that I wanted to take a picture of it!
