Wedding: Tressa and Denis Married!

I'm so glad it worked out that we were able to attend our friend's wedding as guests when we visited Vancouver a few weeks ago. Congratulations to Denis and Tressa! These two have amazing chemistry together, and Tressa just brings out the softer side of Denis :) We wish you both a wonderful marriage together, see you again soon....perhaps with a honeymoon baby next time??

Little Miss Ziggy

Proud parents Catharine and Jacob had miss Ziggy on September 18th at 10:01 pm weighing in at 6 lbs 5oz. They nicknamed her Ziggy throughout the pregnancy, and they're now trying to decide on a more suitable girly name :) Thanks for letting me capture the precious moments of her young life! Congratulations again!

Sleeping beauty..

In Vancouver!

Yep...that's right, we're in Vancouver again to visit our lovely family and friends with baby Tyler! We're here until September 28th, so I'll have more to blog when we get back!!

Happy 3 months!

My little baby Tyler is growing right before my eyes! Today he is exactly 3 months old, weighs 12 lbs 4 oz and is 23 1/4 inches tall from his last pedi's visit just a few days ago :) I am totally looking forward to the day when he can sleep through the entire night....they say that usually happens at about 3 months....**cross my fingers**

Because a blog is always better with a picture, here is Ty Ty on our new king bed! He is basically the king of our bed :) :) :)

Happy Labor Day!

I have good reason for not updating this blog! It has been labor week for Randy and I (and my mom) because we just moved in to our brand new condo in Millbrae! Internet was down for a few days, and I've been busy packing, unpacking, organizing and cleaning! At first I was ambivalent to moving because that would mean that I'd have to commute to work from now on....but it is reassuring that Ty has his own new place with better weather! Once we settle in, I will post some pictures up! For now, enjoy a wonderful guilt free week!

Before I forget, here is a picture of baby Alexander at his Red Egg and Ginger party a couple weeks ago :) He's 4 months old and a suuuuper cute!

I've been bad....this blog hasn't had any lovin' for the past while! My little chunky monkey will be 8 weeks tomorrow already! This week he started to smile with interaction and is looking cute as ever :) But of course my opinion might be biased since I'm his mom!

Newborn Session with Danny

It was a pleasure to photograph my coworker's new baby, Daniel Joseph Alvarez, who was born on June 24th weighing at 8 lbs! Erin's due date was actually 1 week ahead me, but I ended up delivering 2 weeks early and Erin delivered 1 week late! As a new mother myself with an unpredictable sleeping schedule, I couldn't resist when Erin asked me to do a newborn session with baby Danny! I've seen him grow in Erin's belly for 10 months and this was my first chance to meet him in person! And what a joy he is to proud new parents Walter and Erin---Congratulations!

The bond between mother and baby is unmistakable!




I firmly believe that a sleeping baby is a good baby!

Baby's Cozy

My old high school friend Macrina from Vancouver is here on vacation in San Francisco and she came over to meet baby Tyler for the first time just a few days ago :) It was great to catch up and thank you so much for the wonderful hand knitted baby cocoon and hat made by Baby's Cozy! I couldn't resist to do another quick photo shoot using this cute cocoon as a prop! As usual, Ty was a perfect model and he was kept warm and snugly while I snapped away!

Happy Father's Day!

I just wanted to wish all the daddy's out there a very special Father's Day! To my dad, I wish I could be there to celebrate with you---I appreciate all your good intentions and love you very much :)

I think Tyler had a master plan to make his grand debut a bit early....Most friends know that I'm not a baker, but I attempted to bake a cake anyway because I wanted Randy to feel special since it will be his first father's day!

Don't judge the icing skills, it's the thought that counts!! lol

Ty's First Photoshoot

Wow, tomorrow Tyler will already be 1 week young and he's already had his first professional photo shoot! Ty is such a little cutie patootie and he worked it for my camera! Actually, what I mean to say is that he slept really well throughout the session :) Before I post a few of his photos, I wanted to share a poo story that happened early this morning......It is all too common when baby boys have a fountain of pee when changing their diapers, but midway during Tyler's diaper change he gave us our first experience with projectile poo!! Not only did he splatter the carpet with his mustard seedy looking poo, he managed to aim at my shirt, Randy's shorts, and the end of our bed sheets from his crib!

Baby Tyler's Big Birthday!

Happy Birthday to my new little man Tyler!

The same day I updated my last post was when I went into labor! Not only did I have an easy pregnancy, but I also had a quick and fast delivery (2.5 hour labor) with one of my best friends as my nurse and my awesome OB doctor came to deliver me! To top things off, everything happened on night shift with my favorite crew :) Tyler was born on June 12 at 5:34 am, with just half an hour of pushing!

Yesterday was our first day home from the hospital. As we had prepared, it was a difficult night to get much sleep! Welcome to parenthood :) Despite the future of sleepless nights, poopy diapers and constant feedings, Randy and I are so proud to have lil Ty and we know things MIGHT just get easier!
