M.I.A.

Sorry I've been totally M.I.A. for the past couple weeks. I've been taking it easy and enjoying time with my favorite boys. Plus, the sporadic downpour of rain the past week has made it pretty drab to do anything too exciting. One project that we're trying to tackle is to convert our guest bedroom into Tyler's new toddler room. Right now we're just hunting for a few new furniture pieces, ideas to build a new closet for him, and basically looking for anything related to cars, trucks and trains because that's one of his favorite things. Tyler's pots and pans from his play kitchen are probably his most favorite, but we thought it would be too weird to decorate his room with kitchen utensils :)

Here's how our guest room looks now

Tyler's room is a slow work-in-progress. Actually we haven't done anything yet except purchase a few items from the following places...

Wall Letters that spell "TY" from Baby&Child Restoration Hardware

Ryder Train Bedsheets from his Godmother Robyn at Pottery Barn Kids

Decorative canvas wall art from Target

Hopefully his toddler room will be complete in the next 3 months...Once everything is done, I hope to see the biggest smile on his face :)

New Audi Q7

Recently we said goodbye to our Volvo XC90, only to replace it with our new 2011 Audi Q7 :) Randy and I are totally happy with the purchase of this car, not only because it drives so smoothly like a regular sudan but also because it's brand new with a 4 year warranty and totally worry free. Last Friday we drove it to Treasure Island and snapped a few pictures. It was a gorgeous day and you can see a bit of the San Francisco skyline in the background :)

Happy Chinese New Year!

Today marks the year of the rabbit :) This is what Tyler wore a year ago, but now it finally fits him perfectly and he was more amused to have it on this time around! Here's last year's picture. I wish everyone a prosperous new year and good health to all :)

Thomas the Train Set

Thank you Auntie Emmers and Uncle Leon for Tyler's train set! It's funny how boys are totally drawn to boyish things like cars and trains. I remember when I was young, the last thing I would care to watch on TV was Transformers because it wasn't a girly cartoon like Jem or My Little Pony :) Anyway, Tyler LOVES his new trains!

Tyler's first haircut at 19 months :) There was barely anything to cut since his hair is so fine and thin, but his grandma wanted us to give him a trim before Chinese New Year. So we trimmed a bit of hair that started growing over his ears and a bit in the back :)

Baby Anna

I've been anticipating the arrival of Miss Anna, who finally arrived on December 17th, 2010. Just last week I got the chance to meet her, and she was the perfect little angel as described by her mom. She slept soundly while I snapped away at my camera, capturing sweet moments of her precious newborn stage. Congratulations Paul, Julie and older brother Alexander!

Mexico Cruise and Disneyland

Photobucket

Life has been so hectic since coming back from our Christmas holiday trip. My memory is so bad these days I can't even remember what I've done and its already one week into the new year! Anyway, I really enjoyed our relaxing family vacation. I totally think cruises are perfect for families with young children, specifically with my 18 month old :) Even though we couldn't pawn off Tyler to the youth activities (ages 3+) during the day, everything from entertainment, to fine dining, and the gym and spa was just a small walk away from our stateroom. It was so easy to bring Tyler back to our room whenever he was tired or fussy.

We were smart to book a balcony room since I knew we would spend majority of our time there. The crew members on the Oosterdam were so hard working and incredibly awesome. Best of all, I loved the fact that our staterooms were cleaned twice a day :)

Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated. Having the balcony view was definitely a plus...
