My 3rd Year Wedding Anniversary!

Photobucket

Three years ago on this day, I married my high school sweetheart, the only love of my life. Thank you for teaching me how to be a better person and to always strive for the best things in life. You are such wonderful father to our beautiful son, and the most selfless and loving husband I could ever ask for. I love you and happy 3rd year wedding anniversary!

-XOXOXO Cathy

Fun in the Sun at Steveston

I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far! I almost forgot to blog a mini session I had with 2 month old Keanan and their wonderful parents Leilani and Stephan who I'm really good friends with :) You might remember them from their wedding a year ago, or their newborn session in July. I hear Vancouver has been raining a lot lately, so here are a few pictures I took during our lunch outing to Pajo's in Steveston to remind you of the hot summer weather we had while on our visit last month! -XOXO

Impossible

When I'm photographing other people's children, most of the time they're really cooperative. When I try to have photos done of my own family, Tyler is like a fugitive trying to break free from mommy and daddy's arms. You would think he's so used to my camera that he'd know to stop and smile when the lens is pointed towards him. But nooooo, it's quite the contrary. Tyler makes it nearly impossible for a good family portrait, and here's proof of it!

I only get good shots of Ty Ty when he's least suspecting..
Photobucket

Yup, this is how it is whenever we take family pictures.....Tyler has his own agenda and he never wants to cooperate with us...EVER!

My God Daughter at 8 months

My precious god daughter Alana, who is now 8 months old is the cutest thing everrrr! Now that she's able to sit up, we took her out to the park by my neck of the woods to snap a few photos in all her cuteness :) When she was first born, I made her a pink tutu that she can finally fit into so we decided to let her wear it. Unlike her first photoshoot when she wouldn't sleep for us when we wanted her to, Alana was totally cooperative this time and she even gave us some smiles!

I love her wispy hair blowing in the wind in this photo :)

Newborn Session with Naiya

Maybelle contacted me several months ago before her due date to schedule a newborn session. It is recommended to contact your photographer a month or two in advance before your due date if you plan to have newborn photos done because of the unexpected arrival of your little one. The goal is to have your baby under 7 days old for the photos while they are most flexible and sleepy. You'll be amazed at how a couple weeks can transform your newborn. Babies over 2 weeks will already have more awake cycles during the day and it's more difficult to have them in certain poses. Also, your photographer will have to anticipate a date to schedule your session within a few days of notice.

Meet Naiya Layla Dominquez, who was born on August 13, 2010 weighing in at 10 lb 2 oz -- that's a whole lotta baby! At 10 lbs, Naiyah never quite looked like a newborn at birth :) Maybelle and Jean are proud parents to this perfect bundle of joy, congratulations again and enjoy your time off with your precious new baby!

Millbrae Art and Wine Festival

While San Francisco was cold and foggy, we enjoyed the hot sun and beautiful weather at the annual Millbrae Art and Wine Festival just down the street from our condo. That's the beauty of living in Millbrae when SF is dark and gloomy. We went with a few of our neighbors and also met some new friends :) The most memorable food experience was the crab garlic and fries! It was sooooo yummy, definitely one of the best fries i've ever tried! Here are a few photos I snapped :)
