When EJ contacted me to do a portrait session, I was more than happy. EJ is wanting to get into the modeling business, so he asked me to help him take some photos to start a portfolio. Best of luck to you!

E-session: Stephen + Leilani
One of the main reasons we travelled back to Vancouver was to shoot an engagement session for my good friend Lani and her fiance Stephen. I've known Lani since 2001 when we first started nursing school together! That's already 8 years of friendship (with the fab 4) and I'm so thankful that we've remained close friends over the years! When I heard the news that she was going to be Mrs. Janzen, I was ecstatic! Stephen and Lani couldn't be a better match for each other and I'm so glad they are finally tying the knot in just another month and a half! I'm so excited to come back to Vancouver to photograph your beautiful wedding--pregnant and all!
For their engagement session, we started at Gastown in front of the famous steam clock, and we made our way to Granville Island for some fun and vibrant photos! Enjoy!
Lani looks gorgeous!
It was a perfect moment when a stranger with a guitar passed by and serenaded the couple for a quick dance in the street!
One of my favorite shots!
Love this sequence with the vibrant yellow stairs!

Twelve years and Counting!
Cheers to Randy and I for being together for 12 solid years! Come to think of it, we've been together for almost half our lives! Love takes patience, and my man sure has a lot of it to stay with me for this long! LOL....what can I say, I couldn't shake him loose!
Happy 12 years of being together and 1.5 years of ball and chain! Oops, I meant 1.5 years of marriage! <3

Vancity Scape
Our trips to Vancouver are always short, but sweet :) I couldn't believe it when our flight was delayed on our way to Vancouver because it was snowing....SNOWING in March!!! We did get a few nice days of sunshine, despite the brisk and chilly weather before the rain settled in again. I was smart enough to take advantage of the sun and we drove around the city to take some pictures. Enjoy my mini tour of beautiful Vancouver!
The famous 5 sails at the Pan Pacific, if you ever go on an Alaskan cruise departing from Vancouver this is where the ship docks :)
At the seawall in Stanley Park with Vancouver's downtown skyline
One of the most visited tourist attractions in British Columbia are the totem poles in Stanley Park
Lion's Gate bridge definitely isn't as impressive as San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge!
Driving near Coal Harbor
B.C. Place stadium is on the left, and GM Place is located on the right where the Canuck's play :)
Next to the B.C. Place stadium is the Telus World of Science, formally known as Science World :) I miss the days when we used to take field trips here during elementary school!

My 29th Birthday!
Twenty nine years ago from today, I was blessed into this world and into the home of my loving parents, grandfather and older sister. Time flies in a blink of an eye, and I've accomplished so many milestones along the way. From getting my driver's licence at the young age of 16, to getting my bachelor's in nursing, to moving from Vancouver to San Francisco, pursuing a business from my interest in photography, to getting married with the love of my life, and now expecting a baby! Where does the time go??
The best part of it all, is that I'm told constantly that I don't look a year over 20!!! Rest assured, I'm well beyond the legal age and I'll be forever grateful 20+ years from now for my youthful appearance!
Today, Randy and I are travelling back to Vancouver to visit our family, and also to photograph an engagement session for my friends Leilani and Stephen! Stayed tuned for photos from this trip!
We'll be back in exactly one week, happy Monday everyone!
